why is it that your listings will have (new)n on it. When it is a rerun from a year ago, up to last week.???

The guide data that is displayed comes from the broadcasters. Sometimes they will either mis-mark a program as being new or there may be a last minute decision by the broadcaster to swap in a different repeat episode for some reason or another. I work around this problem in my home by setting the DVR to record new and repeats then just delete what I don't want when it's time to watch.
