Tivo Cox on Demand Problem.

A year or so ago I tried to get Cox on Demand working with my Tivo XL4 with no success. I talked to both Cox and Tivo and between them I never solved my Cox on Demand problem. As far as I know I have everything setup correctly for it to work. When I try to run any program from COX on Demand, I receive the following message: “ The show is not currently available (V202)”. I am not sure if this is a Tivo or Cox problem. Any help with this would be appreciated. I am Cox customer located in Roanoke, Virginia.

  • Hi BillTay, I checked the error message on TiVo's website and the suggestion is to manually initiate a connection to the TiVo service to see if it will clear the issue. Her is a link to the TiVo support: http://bit.ly/1J455v5

    Please note, once the service connection has completed, restart your TiVo DVR. The connection is needed to request the application and the restart might be necessary for the application to show up as an option on TiVo Central.

    Also, after any successful connection (whether manual or automatic), the TiVo device will automatically attempt another connection within the next 48 hours.

    I found out from Tivo that in Roanoke, VA Cox on Demand only works in zip code 24017. I live in zip code area 24018. Go figure! TiVo has a list of zip codes in the US were Cox on Demand should work with a Tivo DVR.

    zipcodes shouldn't matter Omaha NE is not listed, but we have ondemand via Tivo 

    along with what MichaelJ said force 2 Tivo connections not 1 to make sure you have the latest app
