speeds not reaching 150mbps

hey guys,

I just moved into a new house and had a cable tech come here today to get my internet installed. I'm paying for premier service - 150mbps down, 10 mbps up. I'm going to be doing a lot of gaming / streaming. I'm located in Tucson, AZ ... there are 4 different Tucson servers on speedtest.net ... all 4 of them give the same rough numbers and high ping. my ping is usually around 30-60ms and my download speeds are anywhere from 50-70mbps ... upload speed is around 3-5 mbps. this is completely unacceptable.

even using the speed test function on your website account page, I'm still getting 65 mbps down, under 4mbps on average as uploads.

my router is the Arris DG2460 and I'm on a wired connection. I've also tried wifi on my phone and similar results.

I did check the modem and all seems well there. Can you try signing into your http://www.cox.com account and doing some speed tests there with a wired gigabit Ethernet connection?

  • edit:

nevermind. I updated my network drivers and the speeds are perfectly fine.
