I am trying to figure out why I cannot reach 12 Mbps download speed, because I am supposed to have 'high-speed' internet. In order to get a job I have been working toward for about a year, I need to have a minimum of 12 Mbps. I can barely get to 11 Mbps and that takes some doing. I have tried all suggestions to 'speed up' my laptop but to no avail. Please advise. What is my 'high-speed'?
What plan (Preferred, Premier, etc) do you have? What modem/router or gateway are you using? Is your device connected over WiFi or wired to the router or gateway? How are you testing your speed? Can you test with wired ethernet device and post the speedtest result? Thanks.
