"spamreport@cox.net" never seems to work

So a Cox agent told me to use "abuse@cox.net". Is that aproppriate for merely UNWANTED emails?

The abuse@cox.net address is used for security related incidents. For spam emails spamreport@cox.net is the correct address. For that address to work however the items in question must be forwarded as attachments to a new email so that the original headers can be included and analyzed. Note too that spam report addresses uses a popularity system for determining inclusion into spam filters and they are a one size fits all product. That being said if there are few reports linked to a particular item or there are a significant number of other reporting the same types of items as not spam it will not get included.
