SPAM Settings

I've been getting SPAM in my cox webmail in Spanish now for several months (I don't read it, nor understand it, nor have I visited any Spanish language websites). I've placed all of it into the SPAM folder, but it keeps coming. Haven't looked into it since the new webmail became mandatory. Now, I can no longer find where my SPAM policy is adjusted.

What's going on? Seems like none of the cox SPAM policy is working any more.

  • dbird,

To view your Spam settings in the new CoxMail first click on the settings icon at the top right of the webpage. On the left, expand the Inbox and you will see Spam settings at the bottom of the list.

Thank you Colleen, this was a big help.

Does the SPAM filter learn from what is declared to be not-SPAM in the SPAM folder? That is, if the filter incorrectly identifies something as SPAM and I select that message and flag it as not-SPAM, will the filter stop placing that kind of message into the SPAM folder? As I recall it used to work that way, but it no longer seems to be doing that.

  • dbird,

As far as I know the webmail Spam filter should continue to learn based on feedback from our customers through items being marked in webmail, in conjunction with examples sent as attachments to spamreport@cox.net
