SPAM Filter Adjustments

With the old webmail there was an option to adjust the Cox SPAM filter. It actually allowed you to put in rules to catch SPAM which the filter was missing. I don't see that option on the new e-mail format just introduced. Is there some way to modify the SPAM filter under the new system?

  • johnpd,

Spam settings in the new email are found by clicking the gear at the top right and clicking settings. Next click the dropdown arrow at Inbox on the left to expand the list. Here you'll find the options for
    Vacation Notice
    Auto Forward
    Filter Rules
    Blocked Senders
    Signatures
    Spam Settings

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks. I did not like the idea that it defaulted to automatically deleting SPAM outright. I changed all my accounts to send SPAM to the SPAM folder where I can determine if it is really SPAM.

Is there a way to not filter for spam.  I tried setting it to no spam filtering and it'sstill sending a lot of my messages to the spam filter.  The reason I want to turn it off, is because I forward all my messages to my outlook.com and I have a spam blocker setup for that account.  Right now, I am missing messages because cox spam blocker is sending too many messages to the cox spam folder and they never reach my outlook account.

Do you have any settings selected for Auto Forwarding, Filter Rules, or Blocked Senders?

I have auto forwarding to outlook.com.  Since I selected "no spam filtering"  it does appear I have less filtering and most of my messages are now being forwarded to my outlook.com account, but occasionally some messages end up in the cox spam folder.  I don't have any blocked senders or filter rules.  Anyway, it appears that most of my mail is now being forwarded.  Maybe it just took awhile before for the "no filtering" setting kicked in.
