Slow internet speed

Hello,

I am currently paying for up to 150mbps download speed, yet every time I have checked speedtest I am only getting 20-25mbps. This has been the case for months. I am testing it directly from ethernet out of the modem. Why am I receiving such low speeds?

    What kind of modem do you have? Can you post your signal levels form 192.168.100.1?

    I want to correct that I am actually going through the router, for some reason I was thinking I wasn't. But it is via ethernet and not wifi. The router is a WRT400N and the Modem is Netgear CM500.

    Bypass the router just to be on the safe side and hardwire straight into the modem and test

    Let us know if you're still having the same issue once you bypass the router also reboot modem once you've bypass router prior to running speed-test.
