Slow connection question

I have the 50 Mbps package and over the last week my speeds have been slow. The speed test I just did was 9 mbps down and  2 Mbps up. Is there somehing going on in the Oklahoma market that would cause this.

I have the modem/router that came with my package. As for connection, I am totally wireless in my home. One laptop, two kindles, and three smartphones. While all may be connected only the laptop and the Kindles use the Internet simultaneously.

    First thing to determine is if it's a WiFi problem or something with the cable line.  Please try a test with the laptop wired to the gateway, thanks.  Also, what make/model gateway do you have?
