Should I turn off my Contour box?

I just brought home and installed two new Contour DVR boxes (6&2).  Everything seems to be working great but when I hit the All Power button on the remote it will turn off my TV but does not turn off the cable box. I have to manually press the button on the box with the blue ring to turn it off. Are they designed to stay on all the time? I do not have the small client box, just the two larger DVR boxes.   I guess I can just set it to go into power save mode after a few hours of non-use?  Seems like when I hit the All Power off button, it should at least put the box into a stand-by mode. Is there a way to do that?

    The only way to power off the receiver at this time is manually with the button on the receiver or by using the power save mode. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
