Shameless seasons 4 & 5 MIA

I just started Season 5 of Shameless after a very enjoyable multi-week binge.  WHY were seasons 4 & 5 of a Showtime show pulled as of today from Showtime?  I pay for Showtime, yet I can't watch all seasons of a Showtime program.  Can someone please explain this?

    Hi WhasUp,

    Showtime allowed us to offer Shameless Season 5 in our On Demand library only through 8/4/15. At this time, the Showtime website doesn’t show that Season 5 is available in OD for any provider. Our Video team is reaching out to Showtime for more information and to see if we can extend S5 availability. We’ll let you know as soon as we get further information!
