SB6190: Excessive "Corrected" Errors on one channel

I'm an ultimate subscriber and am getting the expected speed.  Nevertheless, my brand new SB6190 is showing a vastly excessive number of errors (tens of thousands) on one channel only (number 32 - 987 Mhz).  All channels are within spec with power and SNR.  The power level for channel 32 is -2 dBmV, and the SNR is 36.90 dB.  There are no uncorrectable errors.

I chatted with tech support online and someone there said my modem wasn't compatible with my tier of service -- with is an out-and-out lie, because the SB6190 is specifically listed on the Cox website as supporting Ultimate.  They then did me the disservice of resetting my modem without warning and just disappearing.

The poor Cox online tech support aside, what could be causing these excessive errors on that one channel and is there any reason to be concerned?

SB6190 and any modem that uses the Puma 6 chipset is bugged. Don't buy it. I would suggest returning it for the CM600.

The other issue is that I've been seeing quite often here reports of only 1 or 2 channels having significant noise/error issues.  Based on the number of people reporting it, I'm not certain it is modem related.  But it strikes me as even more unusual that it would be happening in more than one geographical area...

    Puzzling.

That is a seperate issue related to opening more channels in a area, not the Puma 6 platform.

The issue I reported or the one you are talking about? The one you are talking about is mostly west coast, AZ and CA specifically. But that is unrelated to the issue I was speaking to. That effects everything on the Puma 6 platform, which is over 6 modems/gateways now I believe, and more to come. That would explain why it doesn't just seem like one modem... it isn't.
