Remote "B" button

When in guide mode use to be able to press the B button and a small picture of the current show you are watching would appear in the lower right hand corner. Now, when I press the B button nothing shows up.

    I was in the Comcast forums recently and with the latest updates they deleted the function of the B button. Since Cox is leasing the Comcast Xfinity platform and calling it  Contour 2, a lot of these changes are made by Comcast and they don't always give a reason why.

    Removed Functionality B Button
    Pressing the “B” key while in full screen will no longer display a video window in the bottom right portion of the screen

    The above notice is what appeared in the Comcast forums.

    At this time, I have tested multiply Contour boxes & they are able to show the picture when you press the "B" button on the remote. Would you send us an email at cox.help@cox.com with your full address so we can check the equipment on your account?

    Mark, our B button no longer works either. Can I send my email also so u can check mine also? Jane

    I just had Cox install my tv, internet and phone and my tv remote b button is also dead.  What's the deal?

    Hi, there was an update that disabled the functionality of the "B" button and it no longer works.  We apologize for any inconvenience this has created.

  • I got these same answers to my post. There are many people complaining of this issue I guess Cox doesn't listen to the requests of its customers.

    I just got off the phone with tech support. I was on the phone for 35 minutes before someone could tell me that the B button no longer works with the guide up. First issue...why doesn't Cox tell their tech support staff this has happened so I could have found out in 1 minute that the feature is gone instead of 30 minutes? Why did they remove the feature? It is very useful and has worked on Cox Service for over 20 years that I have had it? The second level tech I spoke to was completely unaware of the feature??????
