Received security alert

I received this in my Cox email: "Microsoft account...security alert...We think that someone else may have accessed the Microsoft account..." There is a link to recover my account. Is this legit? Or is this a hacker? Thanks.

    Cox has nothing to do with Microsoft. Do you even have a Microsoft email account? Most likly it's fake but no one here will be able tell you for sure without looking at it.

    If you question its legitimacy, delete it.  It sounds like a common phishing attempt to dupe and then steal from you.
