RE: Self Activation kit fee

As a customer I have this same question. Cox is getting a new customer and then hitting them with a BS fee. Just because some people are to stupid to stand up against a corporation is no reason to make everyone pay.

Hi, there is an installation fee for pro (a tech is scheduled to come out) or self (no tech needed). For many locations that are already wired for Cox services you can do a self install, however, you are still charged a fee to activate the account.
