Programming a URC-8820 to Contour

I would like to have a 2nd remote for my Vizio TV with the Contour box. I have not been able to program my Cisco URC-8820 to work the cable box. It will turn the TV on and off and control the volume but it won't change the channels. Can a URC-8820 work with the Contour system?

    Hi John,

    The URC-8820 remote control works with our original Contour TV receivers. For Contour 2 receivers, you'll need either a Contour 2 XR5 remote or a Contour 2 XR11 Voice remote. We can swap your current remote for a Contour 2 remote at any Cox Solutions Store!
