Premier Package, 34M down, 12M up?

Yikes, I upgraded my connection to the premier package - but the honeymoon is over.  I was experiencing speeds up to (and exceeding 150M, although upload has been dismal).  But as of today - I am dragging at times 20M, and currently 34M.  What is the deal cox?  I've done the usual on my end (restart modem, wireless, etc.).  So what is it on Cox's end that is causing the issue today?

These are since a restart from about 5 pm (less than 5 hours total)

Speed test now indicates 2.5 M down and 7.7 M up - horrific change since overnight.

2.62 M down and 4.9 M up - AT&T is actually starting to seem like an option.

reseting the router and testing repeatedly, I managed to get the download speed up to 27 Megs down and  8 Megs up - still a far cry from the "blazing speeds" from the "up to" phrase (up to 150 MBPS).

the funny thing regarding the packet loss - nothing has changed on my end!  I have only restarted/factory reset the modem a number of times.  Every time I do the speed go up to around 40M and then over the course of a few hours degrades to single digits.

I am having the EXACT same issue.  With almost identical speed tests results.  It just started a few days ago.

The modem you're using doesn't meet the minimum requirement for your subscribed service. As for the speed test result you're getting are you using wifi? If so are you using wireless-G or TKIP encryption? Both of those technologies max out right around 30Mbps or so.
