possible upgrade program for modems?

Hello all, I have a question regarding the 2.0 vs 3.0 modem. First off, can I just stress how frustrating it is to have to constantly spend money upgrading in order to comply with services offered. With that out of the way, I was wondering if there is a buyback or trade in program for the older 2.0 modem when upgrading to the 3.0 modem? My family has been customers for a few years now and usage within the house is increasing dramatically. Can someone offer me a cost effective solution for our tight budgeted military/full time student budget?Sorry for the dry humor, it's a coping mechanism :)

    If you have phone service with us you would have likely been provided an eMTA modem.  If that's the case there would be no charge to swap it out.

    Cox does not offer free upgrades.  If your current modem became unsupported they might offer you one of the supported ones.
