Phone number being ansered by Synchrony Financial?

First off- your chat support is absolutely horrid. Why even bother having chat?

here is my interaction- the worst.

    Jack, Oh No! This is not the Cox experience we want for you. I want to help. Are you getting this issue when calling out to other numbers or are you getting this error when people are trying to call your home phone? Thank you.

    I appreciate your reply and response. It shows you read what I was saying and offered to try - ty.  When I call my cox phone number- it rings to Synchrony Financial- really odd-. Its almost like I am doing something wrong but when I use my cell to call my landline and automated IVR answers it...

    I have edited your post since it contained your account information in a public forum. I want to make sure any call forwarding settings are disabled. Please try these steps and let us know if the issue continues:

    Turn OFF the Call Forwarding Service:

    1. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
    2. Press*  73 (on a rotary phone, dial 1173).
    3. Listen for the confirmation tone, and then hang up the handset.
