Packet Loss Las Vegas

Techs keep coming out and telling us our line is fine. There is packet loss somewhere downstream that nobody seems to be able to fix. Here are some WinMTR stats for you.

As you can see there is packet loss all the way down the chain. This is from just a couple hours online. Its basically making games or even voice communications impossible as they keep lagging out.

According to your own statistics you are losing packets going from your computer to your own router (10513/10470) start there to look for a cause of packet loss.  Once you get 0% packet loss reaching your own router, then start going further.

here is a more recent pingplotter after we switched modems. Thank you for the fast reply!

First thing that stands out is a problem with your home network / router / gateway. You results show 1% packet loss and an avg latency of 4 msec (worst 191 msec) at the first hop to your router. You should have 1msec latency and 0 packet loss to the router. 3% packet loss at hop 2 is also way too high, should be zero.

Are you using WiFi or is this a wired connection? What router/modem/gateway do you have?

If WiFi, are you using the 2.4GHz band? If so, try changing to channels, try 1, 6 or 11 and select the best. If you equipment supports it, try changing to the 5GHz band, it's less crowded. Also, try a wired connection direct to the router/gateway.

This is a wired connection. We have replaced the modem. If you look at the image i posted in the post above yours, you will see that the packet loss now actually begins after the first hop. We replaced the modem, and still experience severe lag with video calls and games. Do you think it could be a faulty cable splitter in the house? The tech all said the signal seems strong, but didn't know what to say about the packet loss.

I also have packet loss issues in Las Vegas.  Let's be packet loss buddies!

Haha, nice pic. Has Cox checked our line outside of your house yet? They just keep sending techs into the house! The situation is getting annoying...

I have also noticed our upload speeds are very slow recently, in the range of 2-3 Mb/s!

Have you checked the PC yet. Based on the results you've posted it appears your packet loss is originating on the home network.

We have checked it and replaced the modem. Here are the most recent results.
