Packet Loss after 6pm AZ

Hello all,

Seems these past weeks i start receiving packet loss on my line around 6pm and beyond.

Things done in the past, filter on line already at the modem, rebooted

Bought new modem, didnt buy it to fix issue, was bought to fix an issue with previous modem. Issue was even with old modem.

Look like starting point is the gateway

Thoughts?

Below are the logs of the WinMRTG just for tonight

%=packet loss %

From this end I'm not seeing any packet loss reported when I attempt to ping the modem. Do you also get these results with a wired connection?

well as mentioned in my post this doesnt happen till around 6pm, could you tell me what time you tested? If it was before 6ishpm then your test is null and void cause this doesnt happen till after 6iish as my post stated.

Also, i live alone so no one else to hog my bandwidth, also turned off wireless on modem, still same issue.

here ya go 1525pm log. Been at work all day and just got home. 0 packet loss

  • I am seeing some packet loss right now myself. I am also seeing alot of T3 timeouts and the signal levels are fluctuating a bit. Are there any splitters in this room that you could temporarily bypass? If not, it sounds like we may need to have a technician out to investigate further.

    Morning,

No spliter in the room. The spliter in the attic was replaced when i had issues about a year ago. So the splitter is relatively new.

Yeah about the tech, i was going to call today and set something up so a tech can come have a look see.

Tech reported my levels were off and he replaced some ends and the splitter in the attic and levels are what they should be. I guess ill test tonight and see how it goes
