Packet Loss / Upload speed issues same times daily.

For the last 6 months I have had really bad internet speed/connection/stability problems.  I have had a technician out every week sometimes twice or more a week.  over the course of the last 6 months I have replaced my modem 3 times, new router twice, built a brand new computer and the problem persists regardless of what device I am using.  over the last 3 days the problem has gotten worse and worse.  Cox has replace every line from my house to the tap, there have been overhead lines replaced in the node.  my packet loss/upload speed problem happens multiple times in a day for long periods of time. I should be getting 300 Mbps and 30 Mbps up, during problem times I get 300 Mbps down and around 6 up.  packet loss is pretty much constant.  Problem happens what seems like from 12am - 2am, 3am - 5am, 5:30am - 7am, 9am - 1pm, 6pm - 9pm, 9:30pm - 12am.  between these times packet loss is still happening but my speeds "appear" to be normal, during these time packet loss skyrockets and speeds plummet.  This is a daily problem and completely hinders my ability to perform what I need to do.  Any one else having similar problems in the Hampton Roads area?

  • Crowe,

I know you've stated you have had techs come out before but I see you have one coming today. Please let us know the outcome of the visit.

While the tech was here my network was acting fine.  Speed appeared to be normal and did not do what it normally does at 6pm.  my internet ended up going into the same problem as before at 8:30AM today 14 March 2017.  They come out and say everything is normal or within range and at the time of them being here I would be inclined to agree but I can not go 24 hours without my internet acting up.
