Ordered Internet Premier over the phone for $49.99 per month. Cox now demanding $87.99.

I had Internet Premier at my old address for $64.99 per month. I moved house and the old service expired so I called Cox to start new service and my new address. Everything went perfectly and I was offered Internet Premier at a discounted rate of $49.99. I thought fantastic and re-confirmed the price multiple times with the agent. Service went live that day.

Roll on nearly 2 months and Cox are now demanding $87.99 per month. I've spoken to multiple supervisors, some of whom have lodged a ticket with the back office to pull the call to listen to what was said. A retentions supervisor has now told me that even when the call does get pulled it won't help my situation as the agent will just get a slap on the wrists and I'll be stuck with the same bill.

I've told them that unless I'm billed what was agreed they can cancel the service and I will pay nothing.

This all seems ludicrous to me that I'm not being charged what was agreed.

Are there any other options here?

Did you get any email confirming the price? If so, try bringing it to a Cox store and see if they will honor it. Or you can try mailing them a copy with a letter at the address below. Either way, this is a technical forum by/for other users. None of us will be able to help fix a billing/pricing issue.
