Hi RonBlack300,
The restrictions on the use of fast forward are set by the broadcasters who allow us to offer their shows in our VOD library. When paused for more than five minutes, you should see an On Demand window similar to the one pictured below.
From this menu, you should be able to press the PLAY button to resume viewing. The other options are to restart the show from the beginning (by pressing the REWIND button) or to step backwards to the series menu. Are you able to resume viewing from this window? - RonBlack300New Contributor
I get this screen and when I press resume it starts most of the time from the beginning. Like I said, it is very frustrating when it starts from the beginning, especially if I am watching a longer show. There have been times I let the show continually run and then hit the rewind to find the spot where I left off. Sometimes I forget to just let it run, hit pause and I have to start all over from the beginning.
- BeckyModeratorHi Ron,
It appears that there may be an issue with the resume viewing feature in VOD when a show in progress is paused for longer than 10 minutes. I was able to duplicate this per your description, and I've forwarded the issue to our video engineers for further investigation. I certainly understand your frustration, and I apologize! I don't have a workaround at this time better than what you are already doing. If we get any updates regarding this issue, we will let you know.

Ron,
Here's a workaround that works for me. It's not quite as convenient, but try this:
Instead of pressing the "pause" key, press the "stop" key. That should return you to the guide/display. When you return select your show again and the first choice should be "resume".
Hope that helps.
