not getting important emails

I have asked friends to email me with test emails and i am not getting their emails.  I have tried to change password, but cox return email with password instructions did not work, (did not get an email from Cox).  Has anyone had the some problem.   I am waiting for email support to call me after support made up a ticket.  Thanks!

    Do you primarily use our webmail or an email program/device to access your email? Do you have any message rules setup to try and filter unwanted emails?
