No phone service.

The modem I have is a DPQ3212
Web site states DSA321N

Phone number listed is (918) [edited]
Number fails to dial out, dialing in gets an out of service message is heard.

Internet works perfectly, phone has never worked, but we are paying for that service. What can you do to fix this issue???

    Hi bjsteeves,

    We can reset the equipment from our end. Since this modem supports both phone and internet service, it will temporarily disconnect the internet while the modem is resetting. Please advise when is the best time to reset the equipment.

    I have already reset the modem by removing the power, from the automated phone selection, and the web site. No change.

    Can you try connecting a phone directly into the tel1 jack on the modem and see if you're able to dial out there?

    Of course not...Why would I post that the phone service is not working if I had dial tone and could dial out????

    There was a signal sent to reactive your phone line. Please let us know if this helped.

    That worked.  Can now call my number from my cell and it rings, and can now dial out.
