New HD TV

I just bought a new HD TV.  I am putting it in a room with an old coax cable hookup.  I hooked the cable to my "antennae-in" connection but didn't get into Cox.  Do I need the mini-box for this setup even though it's a new TV?

    Yes, you now need a mini-box or Advanced receiver for EVERY TV IN YOUR HOME regardless of how new the TV is. With the change to all-digital Cox is now encrypting all channels, hence the need for equipment.
