New folders added to webmail...

I logged into my web mail today and discovered about a half dozen new folders that had appeared (I deleted).  Two were subfolders to Trash.  Their names were long, random letter strings.  I also noted that there was some sort of service interruption last night and am wondering if the two incidents are related.

As a precaution I've changed my password.

It happened to me as well, so I'm sure it's not an isolated incident.

  • @pianoman,

Please reset your password as well. Just to be on the safe side.

  • I have been getting this issue since the transition to the new email interface. I usually just delete the folders but sometimes they come back. Changing password made no difference.

This has also happened to me twice.  Just happened this morning for the second time.

    Hi J J T,

I recommend checking the steps listed above by TiffanyR. Please let us know if this helps.

  • I suspect this is a glitch with the new system.... got a fresh one after my folders failed to display upon logging in.  Toggled the collapse arrow and my folders appeared with a new one- random letters.  Clicked on it and got an error... folder doesn't exist.  Logged out and back in and it was indeed gone.
