Netgear c6300 issues

I have been having intermittent problems with my Internet for about the last 2 weeks.  It will work great, 100+ Mbps the suddenly drop to 2Mbps.  I had a tech finally come out Sunday and he changed all the connections in the box attached to the house, he said he didn't see any issues but they were older connectors and could be causing it.  Everything seemed good Monday, then Tuesday right back where I was.  Called tech support, the lady said some modems were having issues after a update, tweaked something and I was good to go Wednsday.  Thursday after work I turned on your playstation and was right back to square one.  Called in again, and the tech said there was an update and it was affecting some modems that weren't Cox's (Store bought/customer supplied).  He then told me that I would have to buy a new modem, or wait and see if they can work out the issue eventually.  My first question is do you have any ETA on when this will be resolved, or is it not even being looked into?  And secondly why wasn't I told this last week when I had 2 tech appointments that were no-shows?  I can not understand why the modem worked fine for 10 months, it is the same brand/model you sell and rent, suddenly does not work on your network.  Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi, I'd like to look into this further to see what's going on with your connection. I'd need your account information, please email us at cox.help@cox.com. Include the name and the address listed on the account. Thanks!
  • Sorry I am just now seeing this.... should I include anything in particular in the subject line, and does the email have to be from the email on my cox account?  Not 100% sure I used the same one when I registered here.   Brought my work laptop home today to be able to run the speed check on the cox site, Internet worked spectacular until about 9PM when it totally bottomed out again (I had a tech here today again.....)  The speed check actually timed out a few times because the speed was so slow

Sidenote..... the download light on my modem starts to blink when the speed drops out.... it usually stays solid when everything's running as advertised.
