Need Help with Hauppauge DCR 2650 being used with Windows Media Center

I upgraded my external TV tuner for my computer with a Hauppauge DCR 2650 Dual Tuner Cable Card Receiver so that when Cox completes its transition from analog to all digital in the near future hear in Las Vegas that I can continue to use Windows Media Center. I attempted to install the new DCR 2650, Cisco Cable Card from COX and the Cisco STA1520 tuning adapter from Cox but I am not receiving most of my channels on the Cox Starter and Essential packages that I subscribe to. I receive the local channels the ones that COX carries that are sub channels (on OTA 8.3, 8,2 etc, but on COX package 127, 128) and the HD local CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, and CW (although I am supposed to get these on channels 3, 8 etc and not 1003, 1008. On my TVs with mini boxes I received the channels on 3, 8 etc and not 1003, 1008 etc). I have call cox four times and activated the Cable Card they say everything looks ok from their end, so I have a technician coming today, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - this is my first time trying to use a Cable Card.

The Contractor Technician came out and had never seen a cable card receiver hooked up to Windows Media Center and had no idea of what to check even, He is scheduling a supervisor (hopefully) employed by COX to come out on Thursday, and suggested I should just get a cable box instead of cable card receiver.

Well, after four calls to Cox on Monday and one on Tuesday and the visit by the Cox contractor tech who did nothing, I was scheduled for a Cox Tech Supervisor to come out on Thursday, but when I get WMC Wed afternoon I was getting a different error message stating I did not have subscription to channels on my line up I was not receiving instead no TV signal detected. So I decided to call Cox one more time and try again - I asked the Cox Help person to recycle the Cable Card by unpairing it and then pairing it again and it worked this time. So I now am getting all my channels and have cancelled the Cox Supervisor Tech visit today. I guess reading a lot of forums on line about getting connected for Hauppauge Cable Card Receiver through WMC paid off as I knew the right things to ask and I stayed persistent which was the main thing people said = that it worked if you kept on the Cable provider to keeping resetting.

Just a note I have the same tuner card and works OK with WMC and Windows 7.  But unable to get all channels on Windows 10. 80% of my channels are marked DRM and will not play or record. Gave up on Cox trying to fix it.  Good luck

I should have posted, I tried calling COX one more time before the Cox supervisor came out. I asked that we run through set again and re do the pairing with the Cable Card, did this and I am now receiving all the channels I am supposed to receive. I do have problems with GET TV and SyFy HD on 1045 but can get SyFy on 45. So I am happy with the 2650.
