Multi DVR to Whole Home DVR

So we currently have 2 DVR's and record 2, 3 or 4 programs at a time quite often.

We upgraded to Whole Home and was not told there would be any limitations of recording except for the increase in the number of hours. It seems the Whole Home DVR has just 2 tuners limiting me to 2 shows once again?

Am I missing something here?

  • All DVR boxes have limits as to how many tuners they have.  The newest whole home host boxes we're using now have 6 tuners where as the original versions as well as previous HD DVR boxes only have 2.

There are three Whole Home DVRs. The 8642HDC and 8742HDC have two tuners. The 9865HDC has six tuners. Which one did you get?
