Mini box

Recently received mini box but of the 3 outlets I tried to install it on only one receives a signal the reception is good with cable attached directly to the wall on all three. I would like to move the mini box to one of the 2 outlets that does not work, should I request a service call? Would some type of amplifier help if the problem is older wiring in a part of my house?

    Scheduling a technician out would probably be the most effective way to deal with this type of problem. We would prefer not to use an amplifier if at all possible.
