Mini box help - Am I being overcharged?

Hello!

I have a new account and when the service tech installed everything last week he said "my tablet is down" so he was guessing at the install equipment.

Here is my question:

Is this a Mini Box (pictured below) ? Because I have 2 of these and 1 larger box.

I'm paying 8.50 + 8.50 + 8.50 for 3 of the HD Contour boxes, and if I have 1 large box and 2 mini boxes I should be paying 8.50 + 1.99 + 1.99. Right?

Thank you for your time and help!

Did you pay for Contour with 1 host and 2 clients(3 DVR's), or 1 Contour DVR and 2 mini boxes? Mini boxes are designed to replace direct to the wall CATV, not to replace regular boxes. They don't get the same channels. If you were charged for contour/DVRs and want mini, contact billing. If you want DVR's and got mini boxes, call technical support to have the technician come out to correct the equipment.

  • Hi JCG123,

I'd like to look at your account to ensure we're billing you for the correct equipment. Please email my team at cox.help@cox.com with your full name, address, Cox PIN, and a link to this Forums page. We'll get this sorted out for you!

  • Your second sentence makes no sense, Mini boxes are not designed to replace mini boxes?

Oops. It's because I fight my instinct to call them "digital" boxes, because all boxes are digital now. Thanks for correcting me.
