Migration from Webmail to "myemail"

I was just switched to the new "myemail" product today.  Would have been nice to have been notified that this was occurring BEFORE it happened.  Apparently, there's no option to return to the old webmail version.  The new UI leaves a lot to be desired.  The webmail UI wasn't exactly great, but at least it was functional and quick.  New 'myemail" UI is a step backwards. COX really needs to do a better job testing to avoid release of an inferior product. Notifying the customer IN ADVANCE of the change occurring is also an appropriate method of deploying a new release. Logging in and having a new (poor) UI without any advance notice is poor policy.  You don't release a sub-standard product in hopes of making it better AFTER you release it, you ensure it is a better product BEFORE releasing it.  I'll give it a few days to see if performance improves, otherwise there's plenty of other free email products available (Gmail, etc.).

  • GGGilbert,

All customers are being migrated to the new platform. You should have received notification in advance of your change-over. What problem are you having with your email? Perhaps I can help.
  • Notification is not your employer's strong suit... kinda ironic that the service being offered is communications, -eh?

I guess I was also switched to myemail, without prior notification. It's terrible. I have not be able to access my webmail for the last  two days. I was on the phone with cox for almost an hour and the could not solve the problem.

    @ Tony C.

I can follow up on the issue you're having accessing your email. Was a ticket created to have this investigated further?
