McAfee

Considering its multiple failures to download, including McAfee's inability to find its own download page, I don't have much confidence in the program. I finally got it installed and running and started off with a full scan. It's been almost 48 hours, and McAfee is currently scanning its ten-millionth (!) item. I'm beginning to suspect that McAfee has lost its mind or is stuck in some sort of infinite loop. I could click "Stop," but I'm reluctant to lose whatever work McAfee has accomplished to this point. Has anyone had this experience with an initial full scan? Does this seem even remotely normal?

    Sounds like malware. Have you tried some malware scans like malwarebytes? IMO McAfee is not a good antivirus program. I prefer Avast.
