Lots of internet connection issues past 2 weeks - Rancho Santa Margarita area

Seeing lots of intermittent issues where the internet stops working for 1-2 minutes every 5 minutes or so during what I assume are peak hours - 5PM - 8PM. I have the message in the modem log which immediately precedes the issue -

Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=6c:ca:08:72:ec:8b;CMTS-MAC=00:1d:a2:e7:d9:89;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;

Any suggestions on a fix? I have Preferred package so speed and connectivity are crucial since I work out of the house.

    From this end it looks like the upstream signal is intermittently experiencing problems. Are there any cable splitters you can try bypassing to see if that helps?

    I have zero splits. A cord cutter - no cable in the house - only internet.

    You could see if there are any other cable outlets you can try connecting the modem to. If that doesn't work it may be time to see about having a technician come out and troubleshoot further.
