Logging into Modem

I want to use my router for wireless connections, but the cable modem itself is broadcasting as wireless.  I'm concerned it is interfering with my wireless router.  How can I turn this off?  I can get to the cable modem admin page, but don't know the user name and password to login to the modem...

    Our gateway modems are designed to not work this way. Simplest way to accomplish your goal would be to return what you're using now and exchange it for one that does not have the router built in.
