Legit Messages marked as spam

Emails from two of my friends, both of whom are on sbcglobal.net, are being moved to my Spam folder in Webmail.  I opened a ticket with Cox. Yesterday I spoke with a knowledgeable and courteous young man from Cox support.  We went through my Spam and Filter settings and found nothing amiss.  He told me that it must be an email client that is doing this.  So I removed the email client from my Android phone and also removed my Cox email from my iPad.  Then I changed my password.  After doing all this, the problem remains.  I am at a loss as to why this is happening. Any ideas?
