iOS Apps and PC Sites - Cannot login - "You are not subscribed to this channel"

Hello, on all our iOS devices we are unable to view TV shows using the respective channel's iOS app.  For instance, ESPN, Sprout, NickJr are all available with our TV channel package, but from within each of those apps when we click on episodes that result in the "Please login to your account with your TV provider" request, we login but every one is rejected with "You do not subscribe to this channel - contact your TV provider to upgrade to a different package that includes this channel".

We are able to login using my parents' Time Warner account information ... so it's not an issue on our side as far as the devices/iOS/tech.

We've uninstalled/reinstalled the apps, logged in/out of them, logged in/out of Sarari and Chrome browsers within iOS, etc.  Oh - and we have the same exact issue with our laptops using IE and Chrome.

Seems like something is inaccurate with the TV package information within our account.

Thanks in advance!

"We are able to login using my parents' Time Warner account information"

Are you on your home Cox network or your parents TW network?

Great question - we are at our own home with Cox Internet Premier.

then you need to choose Cox not TWC if you already did your better off calling in.  You do subscribe to the channels on Cox also right?  in order for the tv apps to work on cox your HSI needs to also have the same TV channel in the package.

Are you using your primary Cox username and password? AKA the one you use to view/pay your bill online?

Also, if you sign in with that account, there should be a way of seeing the equipment on your account. Maybe here? The point is to confirm the username/password is on the same account as your cable boxes and modem. You should be able to watch TV online too if everything is working.

If everything matches up, then my next guess is something is wrong with how the username is provisioned, or set up in the Cox system. Any unusual account activity recently like changing names on the account or having a room mate order separate service?

Yes, when logging into my Cox account I choose "Cox" as the provider.  And yes, we subscribe to the channels that we're trying to access.  I'm not familiar with the acronym HSI.

    HSI= High speed internet

then you need to call cox and check it sounds like what Technowhelp mention somehow the user name/password is not associated with the TV apps

Thanks Tecknowhelp - yes, I'm using the same U/P that I login to my account with.  I'm able to view/pay bills and view account info including equipment and packages.  The first link you sent (resaccount/home.cox) works fine and I can login there. The second link (residential/tv/watch-tv-online.html) also works fine.

Strangely, I just noticed that when I click on "Internet Tools" from within the "My Connection" menu, I get a page that states "If you had Cox High Speed Internet, you would be here by now" ... implying that perhaps that page isn't recognizing me.  If I then click the "Internet Tools" link again in the left-side inline menu, the page does load ... but it says "You are managing email address: null@" and if I click "Manage Email Addresses" then the message I receive is "Only the account holder can access this page. Please login as the primary account to manage email addresses."  I realize this is related to the Internet portion of our account, but it highlights what may indeed be some username provisioning issue.

And no, there hasn't been any unusual activity like changing names etc.  We have been customers since mid-Nov and haven't made any changes or changed services.

Thanks Andrew!  Yes, I think a call to Cox support is in order.

The links I included were guesses where the equipment on your account would be listed. I don't have Cox cable service so I didn't know for sure and it's not something Cox documents anywhere. Could you see your modem's S/N or MAC addressed listed with your equipment?

The other issue you describe shows that it's a data provisioning issue. Either there is another account with different U/P attached to the account with your email and internet service, or your account is missing it completely. This happens a lot if your account is moved or transferred in some way.  It can happen for other technical reasons too. What happens if you try logging into webmail.cox.net with the same username/password?

Either way I think this will require a ticket with Tier 2 or even Corp. Maybe a moderator here can or at least get the ball rolling.

Thanks again for all your assistance and knowledge Tecknowhelp.  Really appreciate it.

Moderator - are you able to fast-track me to Tier2 or Corp please?
