Internet Splitting?

I need to move my cable modem and router to my master bedroom, since it is near the center of my house.  However, I already have a TV with a cable connection in use there.  One solution, it seems, would be to use a splitter for the cable and internet.  However, with the resulting loss of signal, I am concerned that won't work well.  Are there other options?

    A splitter would be the way to go. Even if you install a dedicated 2nd outlet it would be split off somewhere else. If too much loss of signal occurs it may be necessary to look at the whole house wiring to see if there is a better way to optimize the connections.
