Internet problems

In my house we use 3 ps4 devices. When using them all at once they work fine till we play the same games together. I've done a lot of reading and many say that a single modem/router has trouble to figure out where to send the signals to the ps4 when playing certain games. Is there a way we can connect a second modem/router to separate the connection so we don't have this problem?

  • Hello,

Are you having this issue with any other devices in the home? Also, is it happening with all games or just one?

    Thanks,

You are correct, when playing the same game both ps4s try to use the same ports and the router gets confused as to where to send the packets. Connecting a second modem/router will work but requires a second internet service from Cox at an additional cost. I would contact Cox customer service for pricing on a second account.
