internet connection problems with window 10

When I log into the internet for the first time of the day, and after long layoffs during the day, I get messages like...."hmm..can't reach this page, or check network, etc. It now affects my streaming to my tv and now buffers when in the past with windows 7 never buffered. When I try to get on one of the local news  channels on my computer, it always buffers. Again, never had these types of problems with windows 7. I use a lynksys wireless router, have Kaspersky anti virus. The status bar will show after a short time that the internet is connected and all should be fine, yet when I click on the internet, I get those various messages. It happens both on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Can someone tell me the steps to make sure my connection and windows 10 are acknowledging each other. I have tried the various steps on the cox website but continue to have connection problems.

    Is it affecting any of the other devices in your house?  I've not heard of Windows 10 doing such a thing, unless....

    I looked at all three items, using the second item helped to some degree. I still show not being connected after sleep mode and have the same issues that I stated in first post. I am wondering if I should just go back and re install windows 7 but I am concerned that it will have a big effect on my printer, and other links. I would just rather get this resolved and use windows 10. There are so many posts out there, just looking for an answer that leaves my computer connected to the internet unless I turn it off.

    Your computer will take a bit right after waking up to connect, you can see when it connects by the network icon on the bottom right of the screen.  Other than that brief moment, your network card shouldn't be disconnecting anymore.
