Internet connection drops

My internet connection drops suddenly and at random times throughout the day.  I reset the modem only to have it happen again.  Whats more, the modem, a Netgear CMD31T appears to be functioning normally, as all the lights are on.  This has happened in the past just about the same time last year, then it ran without problems until now.

    VN, the CMD31T is a 4x4 modem only and only approved up to Preferred service.  Do you have a router connected to it?  What make/model?  Have you tested connected wired directly to the CMD31T, does it drop when wired?  Just want to eliminate everything before focusing on the cable connection & modem.
