Internet can't stay connected for more then a few hours

My internet connection drops 2 or 3 times a day. The WIFI network stays up and connected but internet in not available to any network devices.  So, several times a day I disconnect the cable and unplug the router count to 10 and reconnect. Then everything is fine for a few more hours (I've had to restart twice during the streaming of a simple movie). This has been going on since day one and I am at my wits end.

Can anyone give me some ideas on what I need to do to resolve this?

What model model and router do you have?

Also, when you said you "disconnect the cable" what cable do you mean?

Last, when the problem occurs, do you lose any lights on the modem?

Cox supplied Arris single unit running wireless (AC). The only connections are phone, power, and coax. The lights stay active for a while and wifi stays connected but the internet drops. after a while the Online and MoCA lights go out

When I look from here the upstream signals are all reporting noise interference. Are there any cable splitters you can try bypassing and seeing if that helps?
