internet and tv constantly dropping out

Hi,

We moved to a new house 5 minutes away from our old house and I am having constant problems now. The internet goes down multiple times a day. It's definitely on the cable modem and not the router (tried directly connecting). I don't know if this is related or not but our TiVo with cablecard also goes down several times during the day with UNAUTHORIZED errors. It seems to also bring the internet down with it although not always.

    I see there have been hard resets to the Modem. Has this been a temporary resolution, and how long have you seen the connection last? When you're losing connection, are the lights on the Modem appearing to go out like it is resetting automatically?
