Inbox

My inbox has all of sudden become useless!!! There are no boxes on the left to check and there are no folders displayed. Also at the top there aren't anything displayed for trash, forward or any other commands except compose. These continuing email problems are really getting old. First one thing, then another, then another.

  • Hi J J T,

    I am terribly sorry you are having trouble with your inbox.  Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies?  Also, what browser are you using?  Can you try to access on a different browser or device and see if the issue persists?

    It seems to work ok with Microsoft Edge, but not with Internet Explorer. Why doesn't webmail work with Internet Explorer? There are no commands across the top.(delete, spam etc}
  • Hi J J T,

    What version of Internet Explorer are you using? I'm able to access my Cox webmail using IE 11, version 11.1358.14393.0. I'm able to see all my folders on the left-hand side of the screen, as well as the function buttons at the top of the page.

  • Hi J J T,

    You said that you still see the "Compose" button, but not your folders or the icons that are usually across the top of the page. Look to the far right of the "Compose" button for the "View" menu. Click on the little drop-down arrow next to "View". Add a checkmark next to "Folder View" as well as "Checkboxes". This will restore your folders and checkboxes on the left-hand side of the page.

    The View menu also allows you to change the layout of the Inbox and preview pane. The menu buttons at the top of the page (to the right of "Compose") are supposed to be displayed on every view, so I'm wondering if changing the view will restore the buttons. From the View menu, change the current layout setting to something other than its current setting.
