Huge Disappointment

I'm here to complain about the fact that I had a midterm for an online class today and during the exam my internet lost connection. The loss of the internet resulted in me getting a 0 on the exam that is worth FORTY PERCENT of my overall grade. I was on the phone for over an hour talking to 3 different people and my answer was "we can send a tech out" just like every other time I have called an complained. Not only does my internet lose connection but my remote continuously loses connection to the box and I have to reboot the whole system an reconnect my remote almost 3 times a month. One of the representatives told me "I can give you suggestions out the whazoo but if you don't take any of my suggestions there is nothing I can do for you", which irritated me to the extreme. I am beyond tired of paying $150 a month just for my equipment t have "technical difficulties". AT&T/Directv is $89.99 a month with no equipment fees and I would get the exact same thing that I am getting through Cox. Unfortunately, when I signed up for the service, I got a call the day before they came to install and I was told that instead of home phone I could get the home security for the same price.. WRONG. Now I am in a contract that I was unaware of and I am beyond upset with the service and the responses that I have gotten today. I have been told multiple times that "in theory everything should be working", well in theory, my $150 a month should pay for a service that works with representatives that want to help. - a VERY unhappy customer, Deanna

    I feel you my friend. I have "premiere" internet (150mbps)  and get 10 down and 11 up. I have had techs out to my apartment in the last year and they can't seem to figure it out...without trying to blame my equipment cause they can't figure it out.

    I was terminated for downloading material I ALREADY OWN, I'm sorry this happened to you, as I also am in grad school, I need access to media for my degree, and am not filthy rich. I will share what I was told by "cocks" representatives: They said because i DON'T HAVE THE PHYSICAL COPY OF THE MEDIA IN MY HAND (I OWNED VHS AND PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED DVDS) IN MY HAND, that it was illegal to  obtain copies of media WHICH I HAD PREVIOUSLY Already PURCHASED on defunct formats:my VHS and DVD archive my ex confiscated in our separation, that my service would be terminated for six months. I will personally be telling 10+ people about how ____ deals with their customers AND HAVE SWITCHED TO A  DIFFERENT (BETTER) AND CHEAPER CARRIER OF HIGH SPEED INTERNET. I advise doing the same, because they do not respect the privacy or the compassion of their customers. ALSO THE HARDWARE AND INSTALLATION FOR THIS COMPANY WAS 40% CHEAPER. Good luck and God bless.

    Not only is their service **, they do not respect the privacy of their subscribers and PAYING CUSTOMERS. Forget ____ .
