  • Hi Jdnmwc,

When you experience picture in picture, are you watching live TV, a DVR recording, or On Demand?

    Hi jdnmwc,

Does it stay on the screen while watching a program via On Demand or live programming? What is the model receiver that you have?

    jdnmwc,

If you go back to regular programming, do you still have the picture in picture? If you look at the remote, have you tried to press "LIVE" or "EXIT" to see if it exit that feature? Please give this a try and let us know what happens afterwards.

Come on Cox! Many customers have this problem. I've seen this issue raised in the forum many times.

It happens to me watching On Demand with a box like Jdnmwc has, and I have to reboot to eliminate the PIP. I have been apprehensive about watching On Demand for a year now. I love your "It's a feature" bs though!

  • We have not been able to duplicate this issue in our lab. It's possible that a specific combination of hardware is causing this anomaly; a TV that supports PIP, a specific type of cable, etc. What kind of cable are you using to connect the cable box to your TV? What is the brand/model of your TV? Does the TV support picture-in-picture? Are you able to disable the PIP feature?

Are you connected to any other equipment like a sound bar?
