Now that cox is going digital, I have a HD Receiver at my main TV , can I replace this with a mini box?

Sure you can, but the mini-box was not meant to replace standard advanced receivers, they're meant for TVs that were previously hooked direct to the wall without any box. You won't get all channels on the mini-box.

  • Hi Gussy23,

The mini box is designed for TVs that are not already connected to a Cox Advanced TV Receiver (or compatible CableCARD device). Since your main TV already connects to an HD receiver, you might lose some channels if you swapped in a mini box.

Do you have other TVs in your home? If so, is each TV connected to a Cox cable box or compatible CableCARD device at this time?
