Hats Off To A Pair Of Good Guys
I recently acquired a Tivo HD and picked up a Cable Card and Tuning Adapter for self-installation at the local Cox store in Las Vegas. My call-in to Cox Support resulted in pairing of the CC, but the TA could not be activated and eventually settled into "Brick Mode". A follow-up technician home visit the following day also failed get the this temperamental piece of equipment working, even when it was swapped with a new box.. A repeat visit earlier today by two other techs, requiring installation of a third TA, was finally successful; and I want to express my deepest satisfaction and gratitude to Chris V. and Christian A. for their effort in resolving the issue. Both are Tivo users and have deep knowledge of CC and TA operation with this device. The extra time spent in updating cable and fittings to ensure more reliable viewing has also been very much appreciated. I've been with Cox for many years and have experienced the full range of technician ability and willingness to help fix problems. In this regard, these guys are definite keepers!
